The thread

I got my first computer at twelve — a Commodore VIC-20 with a cassette drive and 5 KB of RAM. I still have my first Mac Classic. What fascinated me wasn't the hardware — it was the communication. What could you build when you connected people to information they didn't have before?

That question has driven every company I've built. From the first digital agency in 2007 (helping brands turn research into strategy), through co-browsing technology (letting someone see your screen in real time without plugins), through cross-media attribution (proving that a TV ad drove a website visit), to gramatr (making AI actually remember how you work).

The problem at every stage has been the same: data lives in silos, context gets lost between systems, and people spend too much time re-explaining what should already be known. The technology changes. The problem doesn't.

What drives me is a specific belief: technology should amplify how an individual thinks and works — not sideline them, not surveil them, not lock them into someone else's platform. gramatr exists because AI tools are powerful but forgetful, and the people using them deserve better than starting from zero every session.
